Love Creamery’s Delivery Driver and Ice Cream Production support is an integral part of our fulfillment team. The person in this role is: flexible, responsible, excellence-driven, detail oriented, coachable, dependable, safety minded and willing to learn. On an average day this role will drive our Ice Cream truck to various customer locations to deliver ice cream, as well as work with the ice cream production and front of house teams to purchase and stock important inventory items needed for the fulfillment of all our products and assist in making ice cream treats. The role will also pick-up other responsibilities as needed, especially in the off-season when delivery needs are reduced.

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities
Performs work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, and delivery of products and materials. Loads, unloads, moves, and stores items according to delivery routing documents, customer orders or supervisor instructions. Operates a hand truck and manual pallet jack. Manages other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Product deliveries to wholesale and catering accounts
2. Ice cream mix management
3. Works with daily team to keep Back of House and Front of House stocked with needed ingredients and warehoused items
4. Manages Ice Cream Truck & Trailer
5. Maintains warehouse and inventory of storage products as assigned
6. Delivers/returns empty crates to dairy in Forest Lake as needed
7. Support BOH with tasks during downtime
8. Perform other job-related duties as assigned
9. Comply with food safety policies and procedures
10. Professionally represent Love Creamery on a daily basis

Qualifications

• Must be 18 + years of age to operate vehicle
• Previous experience operating a truck
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be able to withstand working inside a freezer
• Must be able to bend and safely lift up to 70 lbs
• Must be able to navigate all facilities including stairs
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must be able to deliver all products using a hand truck
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently
• Must be able to prepare paperwork at end of day using software and hardware
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Is self-motivated and willing to learn.
• Must agree to mandatory background check
• Work a minimum of 4 days per week during high season (May-Sept)

Compensation

• $18/hour starting wage following training with incremental, merit-based raises following 3 month training period.
• Immediate accrual of ESSL
• Paid Time Off after 6 consecutive months of employment and average of 25 hours per work week
